Cleaning your dog’s teeth is one of the very most important tasks that you as a dog owned must learn how to do.

Dogs need regular dental care as much as their owners do. Dogs are subject to some of the same oral diseases as we are. Plaque, tarter build up, gingivitis and so on.

Dogs can experience tartar buildup from eating soft foods, canned dog food is notorious for this. Feed your dog canned dog food and be prepared to brush their teeth daily to prevent tarter build up.

Inadequate brushing between veterinarian visits will cause a bad report from your vet. Although you must maintain regular checkups with the vet for your dog’s health, you can remove his tartar in small amounts at home. And sometimes totally. Keep reading to find out how.

There are several very good tarter sprays and gels on the market today. These when used as per the directions and regular brushing of the teeth will assure you that you are giving your dog the very best home care possible with out using a scaling tool.

At times depending on the amount of tarter build, it could take 10 or more treatments with the spray or jel tarter treatment you have purchased. Then follow up after the given amount of time with a thorough brushing of the teeth. This is a whole lot cheaper than vet treatments and less stressful on your dog.

Ensure that dog is accustomed to regular dental exams and care. You can do this by brushing the dog’s teeth daily, which also reduces tartar buildup. You should start when the dog is a pup and include it as part of your training exercises. Limit the time when starting this training. For instance do the bottom teeth in the morning and the top in the evening.
Purchase dog dental tooth paste and tooth brush from your pet supplier. DO NOT use human tooth paste. Use only dog approved products here ok?

For prevention stay away from soft dog food and treats. You want crunchy treats or raw hides that will help scrape the beginning of tarter build up away. What is left can be treated with your spray and brushing their teeth for continued clean breath and teeth.
I have a recommendation for a product to use, It’s called “petz-life oral spray or petz-life oral gel.
I do not sell the product but if you do a internet look up you will find it. Make sure you spell it like I did.
